Today is the day! I am saying farewell to my twenties and hello thirties. It’s a big milestone, filled with a mix of excitement, anticipation, and a bit of nostalgia. As I enter this new chapter, I’ve been reflecting on the lessons and experiences that have shaped me over the years.

Here are 30 key takeaways that have helped shape my perspective:
Know your value. Understand your unique skills, experiences, and the impact you bring. Never undervalue your worth and don't sell yourself short, literally.
Your time is coming. Who says you need to be married with kids by 30, have your dream job in your 20s, or go to college right after high school? Those timelines are arbitrary. Your path is uniquely yours, and it will unfold in its own time. Be patient, stay focused, and keep working hard. Keep your head down, put in the effort, and trust that your moment will arrive when it’s meant to. Stay persistent—your time is on the way.
Knowledge is power. Continuously learn, grow, and expand your understanding of your industry and the world around you. Most knowledge is free, you just need to search for it.
Your network is your net worth. Surround yourself with impactful people. Mentors, entrepreneurs, friends, and family that value you, that encourages you, that shares your momentum.
Do it, you won't regret it. Fear of failure can paralyze. Take the leap, embrace the unknown, and learn from your choices.
Your label is not who you are, you are who you decide to be. #adhdadvocate #mentalhealthadvocate #beyou #embracedifferent
Don't let anyone tell you, you can't. You are the one who holds the key to your future, and only you can define what is possible for your life. Believe in your own abilities, no matter how big or small they may seem to others. What sets them apart is their relentless belief in themselves and their unwavering pursuit of their dreams.
Find your puzzle. If you feel like a puzzle piece that doesn't fit, it's likely your squeezing into the wrong puzzle.
Run, don't walk, away from toxic environments. Don’t settle for less than you deserve when so many better options are out there. Prioritize yourself and seek spaces that nurture your potential.
Work < Life Your career is important, but it shouldn't come at the expense of your health, family, or happiness. Your kids only grow up once, a funeral only happens once, a wedding only happens once, your friend only turn 30 once....be present. You can always work.
Ask the questions. Never hesitate to seek knowledge, clarity, or deeper understanding. Being curious and inquisitive is a strength, not a weakness. I’ve always been someone who asks questions, even when others have insulted me for it or tried to put me down with passive-aggressive remarks. But I’ve learned that this is how I grow, how I understand the world better, and ultimately, how I achieve success.
Don’t let anyone place their shame on you. Your worth is not defined by someone else’s insecurities or judgments. Don’t let them “should” on you with their endless list of expectations about how you should live, think, or act. You don’t owe anyone an explanation for the choices that bring you peace and fulfillment.
Choose your circle wisely. From work, to friends, to family, to community - surround yourself with supportive, uplifting individuals who inspire and motivate you.
Prioritize rest and rejuvenation. Don't burn yourself out. Life is too short. Take that vacation. Use that PTO. Why else are you hustling so hard?
Learn from your mistakes. Every setback is an opportunity for growth and learning. Every. Single. One.
Serve from the heart. When you serve with authenticity, without expecting anything in return, you cultivate a sense of purpose and fulfillment that can’t be matched by material gains. The energy you put into the world often finds its way back to you, sometimes in the most surprising and beautiful ways. The more you give, the more you receive—not just in tangible rewards, but in the peace, joy, and connections that truly matter.
Keep learning. Now more than ever, you can find almost anything you want to know. Take the time, do the research, and expand your knowledge. Knowledge is power!
Break down barriers. Don’t let obstacles stand in the way of achieving your dreams. Age, gender, ability, or any other limitation imposed by society or self-doubt, refuse to let it define you.
Step outside your comfort zone. Taking risks, trying new things, and facing fears are the stepping stones to discovering new strengths and capabilities you didn’t know you had. Growth doesn’t come from staying in a safe bubble; it comes from venturing into the unknown
Define yourself. It's your decisions, not your circumstances, that shape who you are and where you’re headed. Every choice you make is a building block in the structure of your life, and you are the architect of your own destiny.
Value experiences over possessions. Money is a tool, and its value lies in how you use it.
Time is fleeting. Take the time to truly live, because life moves quickly, and moments lost can’t be reclaimed. Prioritize what truly matters: make space in your busy schedule for family, friends, and the experiences that bring you joy and fulfillment.
Share your knowledge, share the success. One of the most powerful ways to make a meaningful impact on the world around you is empowering others and sharing what you know. Don’t hold back out of fear or selfishness; there’s more than enough room for all of us to thrive.
Appreciate the simple things. Gratitude shifts your perspective, reminding you that even in challenging times, there’s always something to be thankful for. Embrace the simple joys with an open heart, and let them ground you in the beauty of the present moment.
Fake it 'til you make it. Confidence is key, even if you have to project it initially.
Be honest, always. Honesty, even when difficult, will ultimately lead you on the right path.
Release control. Sometimes the most difficult seasons in life are setting the stage for incredible growth, transformation, or blessings that we can’t yet see. Let go of the need to control every outcome and instead focus on what you can do, and remember, God's got this!
Embrace the journey. Every moment, triumph, and challenge. Each year you've lived adds another layer to the richness of your story, whether the year was one of joy or struggle, success or setbacks, it holds value. Honor the person you’ve become through it all. Look back at your journey with gratitude for the lessons learned and the beautiful memories made.
Seek God. When you seek Him, you’ll discover a peace that surpasses all understanding and a joy that remains steadfast, even in the midst of life’s storms. Finding God is not just about religion; it’s about a relationship with the One who knows you fully and loves you unconditionally. Open your heart, invite Him in, and let His presence transform your life in ways you never imagined possible.
BE YOU! You are one of a kind, uniquely designed with talents, qualities, and perspectives that no one else possesses. Embrace who you are, because you are all you truly have at the core of your life’s journey. Being yourself is your greatest strength—it’s where your authenticity and power lie. Take care of yourself, not just physically but emotionally and mentally as well. Prioritize your well-being, set boundaries, and make time for the things that nourish your soul. Self-care isn’t selfish; it’s essential for living a balanced and fulfilling life. Respect yourself enough to walk away from what doesn’t serve you, whether it’s toxic relationships, environments, or habits. Trust your intuition, stand up for your values, and never feel the need to apologize for being true to yourself.

I’m excited to continue learning, evolving, and pushing myself to new heights. I’m more determined than ever to make a positive impact in my own life and in the lives of others. Here’s to the next chapter, full of opportunities, growth, and even more meaningful experiences. Hello, 30! #1995baby #thirtyandthriving
